Title: Senior Consultant/ Manager, DU AP Business Case Finance Lead - Hong Kong
Work You'll Do
Primary responsibilities:
• Guide the design and establishment of financial model to be used, delivering consistency and efficiency;
• Workshop and design tailored solutions for financial, entity structuring and the overall OPEX, CAPEX requirements
• Liaising with project teams, including 3rd party vendors (developers, contractors) with regards to project & cost management;
• Providing review and quality control of each individual business cases, whilst keeping an eye on the financial impact at the portfolio level;
• Lead regular discussions with relevant counterparties and support executive engagement with key stakeholders;
• Working in an advisory role across real estate, function & processes, and finance work-streams of the project to ensure that the stream output and modelling work together, leading up to submission of the final business case;
• Support DU AP leadership in the implementation of projects, special initiatives, work-stream integration, in line with the critical path for each campus & the DU AP portfolio.
The role will be based in Asia Pacific and will report directly to the DU AP Strategy & Operations Lead. The successful candidate will not be required to relocate. Daily project coordination & activities etc. will occur using Zoom or MS Teams. Travel will be required as governmental and Deloitte restrictions ease to ensure that the successful candidate can engage effectively with his / her counterparts and the supporting teams for each campus in addition to appointed operating partners.

The Ideal Candidate:
Education
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in finance, accounting, business management, etc.
Years of Experience
• A minimum of 5 years of work experience in the field of business case development, financial modelling and accounting;
• Demonstrated confidence in client relationship and leadership management in a professional services environment.
Technical Skills
• Be experienced in building and reviewing complex financial models that support business cases for significant capital and operating expenditures;
• Be able to engage with and guide others in creating and reviewing financial models;
• Experienced and highly competent with building supporting presentations and engagement materials.
Other Attributes
• Be able to effectively engage cross-cultural teams and manage across multiple work-stream dependencies, demonstrate in-depth knowledge and application of the broader strategy;
• Have strong English language skills and the ability to express her / his views simply and clearly to others. The ability to communicate in Asian languages such as Japanese, Mandarin Chinese and Korean would be a significant advantage.
