Title: Associate / Senior Consultant - Business Tax (FSI) - Shenzhen

Deloitte China Tax and Business Advisory is the only Big Four practice that works As One across Greater China Region including the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan with nearly 2,000 tax people in 21 cities to advise and assist clients concerning tax and business issues. It is also a Tier One tax practice in Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan (International Tax Review’s World Tax 2017).
Our Business Tax practice delivers comprehensive and innovative tax services to clients using a collaborative and practical approach. We help businesses meet their tax and statutory responsibilities while identifying planning opportunities and mitigating unwarranted risks. We also utilise technology to help manage the efficiency and effectiveness of our clients' tax operations and turn compliance data into insights that deliver real business value and strategic advantage to client organizations.
Work you'll do
- Develops knowledge of current tax legislation across the Global Tax and Business Advisory function
- Recognizes the key capabilities required to deliver a high quality service experience to the client
- Collects, assimilates, and analyzes data and uses standard processes and tools to help surface and support solutions in the Tax and Business Advisory business
- Applies technology knowledge to address client business challenges
- Conducts research on tax regimes in local and other tax jurisdictions in which clients operate
- Researches and prepares draft client reports under the guidance of senior staff and project management
- Prepares tax provisions using technical skills to accurately complete calculations and follow Firm policies and procedures
- Researches tax authority audit/appeals process and prepares draft reports to be presented before the tax authorities in tax audits/administrative appeals

We are looking for someone with:
- Bachelor degree or above in tax, accounting, finance, law or other related disciplines
- Professional accounting qualification or registered tax agent or lawyer is required
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant tax experience with CPA firms (Big 4 experience is preferred), law firms, tax authorities or large corporation
- In-depth understanding of tax policies, rules and regulations
- Strong analytical and highly commitment to quality client service
- Strong consultation skills, communication skills, self-initiation, teamwork spirit and willingness to work under pressure
- Be mature, proactive, committed, motivated with strong sense of teamwork
- Excellent project management and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese, including both technical and business writing, documentation and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel is a must
